2025 will be the year of strategic imagination

Society is evolving from the Information Age into the Imagination Age, when people and collective creativity will generate new economic, ecological and cultural value. In 2025, we will see AI tools used to broaden our imaginations and the scope of storytelling. These tools will make creativity more accessible to a wider range of people, and will also expand what's possible in the realm of creativity.

Tracking the rise of darks:

Dark tones are also gaining popularity thanks to their gender-inclusive and transseasonal appeal. In the S/S 23 catwalk shows, darks increased by +11.9% YoY. Social Data shows that mentions of dark blue (+21%) and dark purple (+35%) grew YoY (February 2023 vs February 2022) across the innovator segment (defined as pioneers, disruptors, developers, trailblazers, and/or progressive brands).

The design innovations at Milan Design Week confirmed the continuing importance of tinted darks in layered and textured compositions, and purple joined the conversation with rich and deep tints that work particularly well for walls, ceramic glazes, tactile upholstery and velvet textiles.
